We (us + Heidi) went to the grand-reopening of Hunter Library, one of the Salt Lake County library system. They did a beautiful job remodeling...plus it's  a library, so we had fun.

 Ok. Starting time. We heard some remarks from someone on the library's board. President maybe? I brought home a paper thingy but have lost/misplaced it.

Followed by remarks by West Valley City's mayor, Ron Bigelow.

We meet the ribbon cutter. A cute girl who won some contest or something. (I can't remember, it was a long time ago...)

None of us had ever been to an official "ribbon cutting" before. It seemed appropriate it was for a library.

That was really cool.

Blogger has been MIA

Wow...has it really been a month since I posted? Geeze...

Between me being sick with a flu-like virus, Zoey having an ear infection, and Rus being gone I guess time just ran away. But uh...I'm gonna try to catch up some this weekend!

We had dinner plans with friends but we were early. We got lattes and went to a nearby toy store, The Tutoring Toy. It was darling and had many fun educational games and toys. And a few lego character statues...

Taxidermy

Zoey and I went to my nephew's fiance's bridal shower (say that five times fast). The house it was at was super creepy. I walked in and immediately saw a huge full taxidermied wolf. The entire house was decorated with huge animals standing up or hanging on the walls. It was like Cabela's in someone's house. BUT...Zoey was so fascinated. So I took her around to look at some of the animals and she loved to see them and touch them.

One Week vs. Five Months

My sister and Zoey's aunt, Heidi, gave us a Curious George stuffie for Christmas.
We took some pictures of Zoey at one week old with George and then at five months. Wow! She looks the same and so different. She's gotten so big!

Elphie hasn't shown the slightest bit of interest in Zoey up to this point. She avoids her and has even only tried to sniff her once or twice.

This day was different. She climbed right up next to Zo on Rus's lap and snuggled in. She even rested her cute furry paw on Zo's leg!

Day Fifteen August 31st

We stayed the night in Tremonton. In the morning, Zoey snuggled with great-Grandma.
